1Have you ever sent a birthday card?你曾经寄过生日贺卡吗？

1.1现在完成时的一个重要用法——结束性用法：表示过去发生或已经完成的某一动作对现在造成的影响或结果。此时，常与时间副词already，yet，just，ever，never，before等连用。

2.1一般现在时的一个重要用法就是用于表示经常性或习惯性的动作，常与表示频度的时间状语连用，比如:

always总是，

usually通常，

every morning / night/evening

每天早上/夜晚/晚上，

ofen经常，

sometines有时，

from time to time不时地，

twice a week一周两次，

seldom很少，

once a month每月一次，

hardly ever几乎从不，

never从不等。

3.1make birthday cards for sb.

为某人制作生日贺卡。

4They are going to send the cards and presents to China.

12Best wishes to you on your thirteen birthday.祝福你十三岁的生日。

12.1best wishes to给……最美好的祝福，其中wish为名词，意为“希望;愿望”，常用复数形式wishes。

①向某人表达祝愿时用to，

②致以节日的祝福时用for。

Best wishes for Children's Day.祝儿童节快乐。

12.2在具体或确定的时间前用on。

18.1post及物动词，邮寄，多用于英语，美式英语多用mail。

post sb. sth.=post sth. to sb.把某物寄给某人。

19"Not yet!" says Danny.

19.1Not yet！还不行！;还没好！

19.2yet副词，还;仍旧，多用于疑问句或否定句句未。aIreardy副词，已经，多用于肯定句中，用于疑问句时，表示“惊讶;意外”。

注:在现在完成时态的句子中,含有

already 的陈述句变为否定句或疑问句

时,要把 already 改为 yet,并放于句末。

at the bottom of在……底部

20.2all ready一切都准备好了。常用作表语。

look into：调查；

24.1mean的用法

①mean doing sth.意为“意味着做某事”，其主语通常是表示事物的名词或代词。

Success means working hard.

成功意味着工作努力。

【误】Success means to work hard.

②mean to do sth.意为“打算、计划做某事”,其主语通常是表示人的词。如：

I mean to go,but my father would not allow me to.我想去,但是我父亲不肯让我去。

③mean 后接 that 从句，意为“表示/意味着.....”。

It means that he lost his chance .这意味着他失去了机会。

④mean sb. to do sth.的意思是“打算让某人做某事”。

I mean you to work as our spokesman. 我想请你当我们的代言人。
